zenonzenon

Note: This is not for you.

tl;dr

Bitcoin sat #1957671509316252, with name field “zenonzenon” was produced on the winter solstice of 2023. A number of other factors align this sat, the Zenon Network, and the sat named “bitcointalk” with the solar calendar and ancient scripture. No deep numerology nor leaps of gematria are involved.

This article documents my first hand experience in discovering a number of improbabilities and coincidences that seem to suggest that the Bitcoin blockchain may be more than meets the eye.

Disclaimer: I do not believe any of these coincidences are premeditated conspiracies by any of the below mentioned pseudonymous entities. When one takes into account all of the facts involved, one either has to imagine a conspiracy theory of absurd scale, or look toward the authentic meaning of the term ‘conspiracy‘.

An Unlikely Archaeologist

On July 11, 2023, in an obscure Discord server for Bitcoin ordinal enthusiasts, I was learning about sat hunting (basically how to search for rare bitcoins). When I went to the search tool, the first word that came to mind was “zenon” but I was under the impression at that time that I needed ten characters. So, in playful ignorance (or intuition?), it occurred to me that the ten letter string, “zenonzenon” would be fun to search.

I want to be clear that I had virtually no idea what I was doing. I was just trying to understand how this new form of digital archaeology worked. I was just chimping letters into a search console.

When the result came up, it was like a foreign language to me – kind of like looking under the hood of a modern car for the first time. I scanned the lines of text and numbers… “decimal, degrees, percentile…” To this day, I don’t really know what those fields are. I scrolled past a bunch of other jargon, but when I got down to the projected date, I saw that this sat named “zenonzenon” was forecasted to be produced on Christmas later that very year.

Sat 1957671509316252

decimal 822274.259316252

degree 0°192274′1762″259316252‴

percentile 93.22245292712817%

name zenonzenon

epoch 3

period 407

block 822274

offset 259316252

rarity common

The sumofdigits for the sat equals 69. That’s also sort of fun.

Bitcoin sat number: 1,957,671,509,316,252

1 + 9 + 5 + 7 + 6 + 7 + 1 + 5 + 0 + 9 + 3 + 1 + 6 + 2 + 5 + 2

= 69

I found this discovery wildly entertaining and humorous. I joked to myself, “Zenon is lil’ baby Jesus.” lol.

After the initial surprise and humor subsided, I started to sort of feel like it might be a lucky sign. I wanted to share it, but it seemed sort of fantastic and ridiculous. On one hand, I didn’t want to totally write it off, but I was also a bit skeptical and concerned about how others might respond to what might seem sort of flakey.

The more I thought about it, and combined with all the other bizarre schizo coincidences related to Zenon, I started to wonder if I had broken the simulation. Did this digital artifact even exist before I typed zenonzenon into the ordinals.com search bar?

I went into the Zenon telegram chat and nervously pasted the url: https://ordinals.com/sat/zenonzenon

Santa is Always Watching

Some context about Mr. Kaine: He is the anonymous cypherpunk that has been the point of communication between the zenon community, and the anonymous developers who started Zenon Network back in 2019. Mr. Kaine seldom communicates with the community, and when he does, he is short spoken and cryptic. Usually, he just gives some assignments and guidance for the community developers to work on and research.

In fact, his communication was so sporadic and unpredictable that his original @ username was disabled by Telegram because he didn’t even log into the app for over 12 months. Moreover, every time he shows up to chat with the community, we assume it’s the last time because zenon is a decentralized project and Mr. Kaine will inevitably, and at this point has likely disappeared, just like Satoshi Nakamoto.

Back to the zenonzenon story.

Within thirty seconds of me posting the url in chat on July 11, 2023, the man, the mystery, Mr. Kaine replied to me.

When Mr Kaine replied in the chat, he didn’t reply about the zenonzenon sat. He instead replied to a different question from a month prior that I tagged him on. I think it’s interesting that he replied, because my question wasn’t particularly interesting, nor did I actually expect a response.

At this point in time, ordinals were still very new and controversial. I was curious what his opinion was, and how we might approach onchain data on Zenon. I didn’t specifically mention ordinals in my question, but he mentioned Bitcoin in his reply.

In a dev related reply to the community member “Sol Sanctum” Mr. Kaine stated, “I’m always watching.” Do you think that might have been a wink and nod to the zenonzenon artifact, which was at this time projected for December 25th, later that year? The common saying goes, “Santa is always watching.” and as we know, Santa delivers gifts on Christmas, which is celebrated on December 25th. 🎅

Before Mr. Kaine showed up, I was already nervous and in a state of shock about the zenonzenon artifact itself. I was nervous about sharing it with the community and I was wondering who would be the first to respond, and what their reaction would be. The fact that it was Mr. Kaine who replied, and his reply was immediate, freaked me out. (Note the timestamps in the figure below.) The Santa joke was the cherry on top. I felt like I had a paranormal experience or something. So I took a few steps back.

The last time Mr. Kaine was seen, was seven days after this chat conversation.

Trace to Source

Within a few days, I noticed that the projected date for zenonzenon seemed to fluctuate plus or minus a few hours. This is due to the hashrate and expected difficulty adjustment.

Within a week or two, the projected date for zenonzenon had drifted to December 24th. I was chagrined that my Christmas miracle had evaporate, lol. But then, the thought occurred, “Might zenonzenon land perfectly on the winter solstice?” I took note at the potential for confirmation bias, at this point and began recording daily, the projected dates for zenonzenon.

Some time within the next few days, I happened to see a Tik Tok video which explained that the winter solstice is referred to as “sol invictus” which means ‘sun, unconquerable’.

As the winter solstice approaches, daylight hours become shorter and shorter. If the trend of lessening daylight continued, there would eventually be no sunlight at all.

Fortunately, the winter solstice marks the shortest day of the year, and the turning point toward longer days and more daylight. Alas, our sun and source of energy continues unconquered, the ‘sol invictus’.

Getting Too Close to the Sun

During this time period of 2023, the Zenon community had two message boards. forum.zenon.org was for general community discussion, and forum.hypercore.one was for developer topics. I recall once being reprimanded for posting a non-engineering topic in the Hypercore forums.

Considering that it had been made clear to me that I wasn’t welcome in the developer space, I was surprised when the Zenon community developer named Sol Sanctum reached out to me via DM inquiring about zenon related projects I might be working in, and he even went so far as to set up a special private subforum on the Hypercore (developer) server.

Did I get too close to sun? Was I being watched?

I was a bit spooked and all I ended up posting in the subforum amounted to some incoherent half-baked ideas across a wide range of marketing ideas, mostly unrelated to the content of this writing.

There are 96 validator nodes in the Zenon Network. One of them happens to be named “Invictus”. One of the anon community developers in Zenon uses the pseudonym “Sol Sanctum”.

Considering the Zenon dates, Bitcoin satoshi name dates, the solar cycle, and the names of these entities in the Zenon Network, it all seems like more than a mere coincidence.

One very cool result that emerged from this creative brainstorming, was the Zenon Core NFT project on Bitcoin ordinals. I produced this project with a considerable amount of research into the history of the Zenon genesis and the legacy network.

I tapped into a very deep state of creative meditation, listened to a lot of zenonesque music, and hand crafted every piece as a unique 1/1. One of the many surprising synchronicities that arose during this time was a curious short url for Zenon Records. (I need to locate the screen shot.)

This Zenon Core ordinals collection was an artistic meditation that was key to unlocking secrets of Bitcoin ordinal theory and the Zenon Network. With outstanding support from the Zenon community, we were able to inscribe the collection, forever on Bitcoin. You can view the collection on Magic Eden. Zenon Core Ordinals

Bitcoin Talk

By the time I finished the ordinals art collection, I had spent hours painting gifs, pixel-by-pixel, frame-by-frame. I was obsessed with the zenonzenon synchronicity and Bitcoin ordinal theory.

One day out of curiosity, I searched for the sat name “bitcointalk”. My thought was, well if there is synchronicity between when Bitcoin said “zenon” then maybe there’s a coincidence about when Bitcoin says… “bitcoin!” I needed four more letters to complete the string, so “bitcointalk” seemed apt.

Bitcointalk.com is an OG Bitcoin message board where, amongst many things, new projects (especially crypto mining projects) are announced and vetted. Whereas Zenon Network was fair-launched from a novel BTC proof-of-stake (PoS) model, it made sense that Bitcointalk.com was where Zenon Network was first announced. It’s also an interesting coincidence that one of the OG admins from Bitcointalk used the screen name “Sirius”, and the name of the Zenon Network full-node wallet dapp, is “Syrius”, which is also the brightest star in the night sky.

As it turned out, the sat was produced on April 14, 2019. That seemed to be an uninterested date, until it occurred to me that this was the same year that Zenon Network was launched…Zenon was launched on the vernal equinox of 2019.

From there, I somehow came across a passage in scripture:

Daniel 10

And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

You can read Daniel 10 in it’s entirety, here.

The Book of Daniel is at least 2,000 years old, as evidenced by its appearance in the Dead Sea Scrolls. In phrase 4 it reads, “…in the four and twentieth day of the first month…”

Let’s break that down:

In pagan tradition, the spring equinox (March 20-21) was the new year. The arrival of spring brought renewal, birth, and growth. The spring equinox also coincides with the genesis of Zenon Network which occurred on March 20, 2019.

Now, let’s circle back and see that the “bitcointalk” sat was produced on April 14th, 2019 – the four and twentieth day of the first month, which is 4+20 days after the genesis of Zenon Network!

Do you see all of the dots connecting?

What does it mean?

If you drive your car down the road, what do the dots mean? What do the trees mean? What do the other cars on the road, the guardrails, and the signages mean?

The key is to keep the signs in proper proportion. Something like a leaf in the road is not significant. It is there, but it does not have as much material meaning as a large immovable object. Smaller things do not “matter” as much.

But when lots of signs all point the same way, and those signs carry more weight, they are more massive, one would be reckless to ignore the signal.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and it quacks, it’s probably a duck.

Satoshi was the original developer of ordinal theory. However, he knew that others would consider it heretical and dangerous, so he hid his knowledge, and it was lost to the sands of time. This potent theory is only now being rediscovered. You can help by researching rare satoshis.
